My Weekend!

This last weekend was the best time of my life.. It was simple but so much fun. I went to see the movie (Role Model) with someone that I would never have thought I would like, the way I do now. After taking this person to a movie on Friday, and after all the fun we had. I took her to a hidden spot with a view that takes your breath away. Now I typing about the time I had over the weekend. I think I going to go talk to the person and tell her how I feal about her.

Election Day Important? No Way!!!

I think election day in the U.S. is the most important thing on everyones mind that is 18years of age or older; that is living in the U.S.. If it is not the top thing on their mind then they must not give a hoot about the U.S. and who runs it. I think everyone that is currently living in the U.S. should vote and be thinking about election day.

"Foreign Oil"

The U.S. has been depending on foreign oil for too long. We would be smart if we would start relying less on crude oil, and more other sources of energy would make the United States less dependant. 2 trillion barrels of oil may sound like a lot, but it isn't. It took less than 200 years for the United States to deplete most of its oil supply, and the world isn't far behind, and the 70 years or less is a very short amount of time. Hopefully big oil companies and world governments will realize this and put more time and money into alternative, and renewable fuels, soon. The United States is one of the most powerful, most influential, most wealthy, most dependant countries in the world. Despite all the power, and all the wealth, the United States still relies heavily on other countries for imports. One of the biggest inports being oil, the United States uses close to if not 80 billion barrels of crude oil a year. We need to get this stoped or at least slowed down. All we have to do to slow this down is buy less oil and put some of that money toward fiding a better sorce of energy. Find out more...

Work

Work is my life, it is all i realy do during the week. I work from mon.-fri. Saterday is my only day I get to myself. It realy is not that bad i gess it just sucks that I work all week long just to blow it all in one night. I use the money for other stuff like gas in my car, and dog food for the dog and other household bills. But it still feals like im working for one night of fun. The part that realy sucks is that if I don't work then I don't get to have fun. Every thing that is fun to me costs money. I gess it is part of life I have to get used to. Its just work right......

Halloween

Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. It is widely believed today that the pope was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. The celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the night of Samhain, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. Even later, in A.D. 1000, the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils. Together, the three celebrations, the eve of All Saints', All Saints', and All Souls', were called Hallowmas. Want to know more?

Standardized Testing

Standardized testing is usually created by commercial test publishers, standardized tests are designed to give a common measure of students' performance. Because large numbers of students throughout the country take the same test, they give educators a common yardstick or ``standard'' of measure. Educators use these standardized tests to tell how well school programs are succeeding or to give themselves a picture of the skills and abilities of today's students. Says the U.S. Department Of Education.

Standardized tests help teachers and administrators make decisions regarding the instructional program. They help schools measure how students in a given class, school, or school system perform in relation to other students who take the same test. Using the results from these tests, teachers and administrators can evaluate the school system, a school program, or a particular student. Therefore I think Standardized Tests given to are students in the U.S. is a smart way to keep track of their education. Learn More Here!
